Puoi stampare fronte/retro su fogli A4 e poi piegare in modo da formare un libretto di dimensioni A5. Per rilegarlo poi usare un nastrino o semplicemente graffarlo.

♥ Stars Bunting

My little number two is arrived and I was ready with some decorations I was making for her! Here the first one, a stars bunting to hang near her crib. I made them following the easy star pattern below.

♥ First birthday party

And eventually I managed to put together some pics of Giulio's first birthday party. The theme is elefant with red ballon, totally inspired by Dulce Sobremesa.I made wall decorations, table decorations and the cake and decorated biscuits! Yes I DID MAKE the sugar cake and biscuits, honestly I thought it was ore difficult but it wasn't, probably also because the decorations werent' very hard to make.

I just baked a Madeira cake (Francesca Sugar Art Recipe) and covered it with white sugar paste ( I watched some Francesca's video about how to cover a cake on her channel on Youtube). After that I just placed some blu elephants and red ballons on the top of it. I just had colored some sugar paste with my gel red and blue colors, flatted it with a pinroll, cut the shapes and pasted them on the cake.

♥ Xmas sweet xmas

This is our first Xmas at home with my little one. Last year we were at the hospital as he was born right during xmas's eve night!

I decided to decorated our home with traditional xmas colour: white, red and green so Giulio can surely get the real touch of Christmas. He loves to play with my tree!!!!

So I sewed some red hearts, crocheted some white stars (click for getting the pattern) and bought other decoration such as wooden and fabric ornaments. My mum gave me also some white candels to hang on the tree, they look very nice there, very good idea mum!

and also I bought the Santa clothes for Giulio, he looks so sweet in those, doesn't he?!!

♥ handmade photos album

As promise but a bit late I'm here with a new post. Sorry for my lack but I'm currently very busy with my new job: brand new mum!
I think now I can come back and post more often than the last month.

Here on the left you can see the gift I made for my husband: photos album (from Papercase, £2) with an handmade fabric cover. I add an "L" on one of them such as L of London and on the other I add just an heart. These 2 albums host loads of pics of us during last amazing and sparkling 2010.

The gift was really appreciate!

♥ how to make: halloween's pumpkins

Five days to go to Halloween and here you can find the last minutes tutorial to make your scary pumpkin lantern. I made one with a friend of mine Cla, she is so good at hand making these kind of things.

Here you can download the template, shape or designs to use for cutting your scary punpkin. And here you can see more pumpkins made by my lovely friend Cla

Isn't it so perfect!? anyway lets go haed and let me give you some tips to get it very easily.

Step by step:

1) First able the crucial point is to find the right pumpkin to cut: it could be soft and the size should be suitable for the template you chose. Of course you can also re-size the template adapting it to your pumpkin.
2) Cope the top where the stalk is (cut at 4/5 cm from it or less, it’s depends of the size of your pumpkin), the copped part should look such as a lid. Keep the lid!
3) Empty properly our pumpkin from seeds and stuff.
4) Put the paper of our template on the side you like, hang and fix it on the pumpkin with the help of some needles. Watch out! Make sure you put the needles in the part of the pumpkin you are going to remove so at the end you won’t find any little marks.
5) With a sharp and small cutter/knif notch and make a lot of little cuts on the pumpkin following right the shape of the design. Now you should see the design impress on your pumpkin in broad terms.
6) Start removing the biggest parts (without pay attention at the little details) then you can starting to refine and give a shape cutting precisely and minutely all borders. If you are in trouble, to get the best design out and to make the work easier for you, you can also reduce the thickness near the edges but don’t go too far! And if that is not necessary please avoid it. Don’t reduce to much the thickness otherwise the pumpkin becomes soft and it can wrinkle.
7) Here you go with the magic secret!! Put on all borders a bit of Vaseline so the edges won’t become black because of the air and also this avoids our pumpkin to dry too much.
8) Now put inside a candle and cover with the copped top. It's done!

Light it up and it’s Halloween’s night!! You’ll find something to suit your skill level!

Here on the left my last DIY. I'm really proud of that, honestly it gives a fresh and new atmosphere to my bedroom.

It was really easy to make: I just cut the heart and used tape to fix them on the strip. They looks really nice on my wall.

♥ freebie: recipe note

Here we go with the free template of the week, I made this pretty card for collecting the recipes from your friends.

I chose this hue of red because I love cherries and ut remind me right them. I've already written my first recipe on this note, it came from a close friend and it's focaccia alla genovese; now I just have to try making. If the recipe is truly easy-made and good I'll share with you.

♥ flag toppers

I promise this is the last time i speak about flags and buntings but I coudn't help to don't make my own flags!!! I mede my flags to put on the top of your little sandwiches or simply food during your house party. I also add a writting so you can apprise your guests of wich kind of stuffing or ingredients there are in that specific sandwich or food. Nowaday there are a lot of vegetarina or allerging people so these my little flags can be helped.
So here you can find a paper with 4 different types of them in differnt colors too: Veggies, mayonnaise, meat and cheese.

You surely already know how to build and stick the little flags around toothpicks.

♥ words at the ready

Here we go with another page to print! I made this really useful print to hang up the wall for me. It's just a paper where I can write the new English words I learn and where I can write also the Italian definition so my fiancé can learn them back. I find it very usefull because I have them always under my eyes and this helps me to memorize them better. If you are learning a new language I think this can support you. ♥ pom poms

Here another thing I do love! Pompoms are so cute and fluffy that they immediately make happier and cutier the room where they are. I spotted on the amazing Sodapop Design blog a tutorial to hand-make it and it look like easy to make (hopefully). All you need is: fabric, paper lantern, glue gun and patience. I'll try making during my hols and I'll give you feedback. I love spending time checking Caro's blog out, I always find beautiful inspirations, original ideas and cute handmade things to make! You already know I’m totally addicted of flags and buntings. So I went hunting for them around the web and I nicely found a lot of really cute handmade and super-cool things. I decided to do a summary of them such as a post and share them with you.

Kiki La Ru's Cake Bunting makes cakes look extra special and festive! It’s really something special and unique, a real eye-catcher! She says: Every time I bring a cake topped with my Cake Bunting to a celebration, it gets a lot of 'ooohs' and 'aaaahs.'
2) Little Newspaper bunting by Corikindered
3) Valentine's Day Garland by Lavander. Use different type of papers and choose the size of the flags then sew them together and use them for embellishing your room adding a little love or paste them on your Valentine’s card, Valenine’s menù or use them simply to better wrap your gift.

♥ baby shower

Hi hi it's time for me to do outing: I'm having a baby very soon and you can't imagine how happy we are!! As every mum to be I'm getting crazy with clothes I'd like to buy (OMG gap has so many cute and marvellous miniclothes!!), things for fornishing the new room but I also think about party time! So the first party for my baby will be the baby shower and it is in December, I know it's really far away but I can't help to think about all this oh so cute things.

Here a little tip to make a very basic and easy bunting:
Materials:
Variety of cute fabrics
3 m of Ribbon
Scissors

Instructions:
1. Cut 12 long isosceles triangles from fabric. (basis: 20cm and height: 24 cm)
2. Pinch the flags with pins on the ribbon
3. Sew the top side of flags on the tape (you could also staple them)
4. Iron them
